Day 45 Boxborough, MA to Kennebunck, ME 47 miles

Oh my goodness! Maine! Crossing over the Piscataguah River that brought us to Maine was truly a moving moment. Well, the river really was moving and of course the feeling of almost disbelief that we have ridden our bikes from Fl, starting Apr 21, to Maine! It's really a very long way as the bike tire rolls. So tonight we'll have our last Sate crossing Margarita party. Humm, something to think about. Today was simply a beautiful day. Since it was a short ride, 46 miles, we got to sleep in and move slower for our morning departure. The weather was so comfortable to ride in, a little chilly in the morning and perfect for the day. We took our time and stopped for Sticky Buns and coffee in Port Smith before crossing into Maine. The ride to the Nubble Light House was just wonderful! Wendy had a $17 Lobster Roll for lunch and I stayed true and had a grilled cheese sandwich. Then the very pretty ride to what... Ice cream! Now we're working on laundry as our next 4 hotels do not offer laundry facilities. Practically a tragedy for 30 women in need of a washing machine!
